IIM Raipur’s Professional Development Training (PDT) under TEQIP-III Concluded

The 12th Professional Development Training, organized by Indian Institute of Management Raipur under TEQIP III, has successfully completed on September 27, 2019. The program began on September 23, 2019 and was held at the Institute’s new campus at Naya Raipur. It was attended by more than 27 participants, comprising Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors from engineering colleges across India, namely the states/UT of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Jharkhand, Haryana, Ludhiana, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha,  Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Tripura, Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana, and Kerala. Prof. Rashmi Shukla (Assistant Professor, Economic Environment & General Management, IIM Raipur) and Prof. Sourya Joyee De (Assistant Professor, IT & Systems, IIM Raipur) were the program directors for this training program and Prof. Sanjeev Prashar, Dean (Academics) and Professor in Marketing, IIM Raipur, was the TEQIP coordinator.

On the last day, September 27, 2019, the first session was conducted by Prof. Anubha Dadhich (Assistant Professor, OB/HR, IIM Raipur) on ‘Team Building’. The session discussed the nuances of teams, politics, collaboration, conflicts and resolution through various activities and games. The second session was conducted by Prof. Mohit Goswami (Assistant Professor, Operations & Quantitative Methods, IIM Raipur) on ‘Relationship Management (National/International Universities/ R&D Organizations)’. This session discussed the purpose of academic collaboration and how individuals and organization can initiate international collaboration.

IIMR PDT

The last session comprised project presentations by the participants through which they shared their experience and summarized their key learnings from this five-day TEQIP program to the program directors. Each group of 5-6 participants presented and shared its learning on a project topic assigned to it. The topics included ‘Feedback System for Technical Institutions’, ‘ICT Implementation – Current & Future Plans’ and others.

More such programs shall be organized by IIM Raipur for faculty members, Heads of Institutions and administrative officials of engineering colleges across India.
