Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Prof. Ganeshi Lal visited IIM Rohtak on 1st February 2022 to address the students of IIM Rohtak and congratulate them on the achievement of 100% placements.Prof. Dheeraj Sharma informed the dignitaries that the student placement committee has been able to achieve this with a significant jump in the average salary by over 16%. IIM Rohtak became one of the first IIM to complete the placements for the batch of 2022. “This is testimony of the trust of our recruiters in the dynamic, industrious, and ethical students of the institute. The year 2020-22 was full of speculations and uncertainties in the business environment. However, our students worked hard and received strong facilitation from the institute. The efforts of placement committee resulted in excellent outcomes even in the COVID situation that the world is dealing.” He further added that, “The programme fee of the institute is the lowest among any IIMs in the country. Hence, IIM Rohtak is top B School with the best return on investment.”
Prof. Ganeshi Lal, Hon’ble Governor of Odisha congratulated the students. He started his talk by the mention of the Mark Twain’s quote, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why”. He further talked about the divine and the primary reason we are present on Earth which is to find the Divine, service the Divine, and become the Divine. He further emphasized on the importance of spiritual diet. In other words, he encouraged the students to unmask their self and develop the positive orientation. He further added, “The man is basically swallowed by the need and science of spiritualization. The Self is light, thus you are the light of your oneself, and you can have glimpse of God only if you are free from authority, conclusions, dogmas, comparison, and competition.” Hon’ble Governor also inaugurated the student activity center. Prof. Dheeraj Sharma said, “Student activity center can be a place where students can sit and meditate and develop positive thoughts of development and positive orientation.
The placements for the batch of 2022 had the top companies like Deloitte, Capgemini, Indus Valley Partners, Tata Steel, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, OfBusiness, Yes Bank, Cognizant, CollegeDunia, AuthBridge, Xiaomi, and Natwest. The institute also forged new alliances with 40 + new recruiters like Accenture Strategy, Aditya Birla Capital Group, Grasim Industries, Amazon, Arcesium, Hero Motocorp, OYO, Reliance Retail, Schindler, Bharat Serums, and many others. This year, cumulatively 73 % of the students were recruited for the domain of General Management and Consulting. The batch also witnessed a steep increase in the number of PPOs & PPIs also offered to the students. The highest domestic CTC offered stood at 30 LPA while the average salary rose to 15.92 LPA (over 16% higher than previous year).
IIM Rohtak has completed more than a decade in imparting excellence and management grit to the country’s young aspiring young managers. It is amongst the country’s top management institutes and the only IIM in the Delhi NCR region. The institute is the first IIM to have a BBA+MBA degree program and BBA+LLB degree program.
