IMS Ghaziabad has been conferred with “Best B-School in Placements – 2015 Award” by Centre for Education Growth and Research (CEGR). On April 24, 2015 at magnificent award ceremony held at India International Centre-New Delhi, Ms. Meenakshi Lekhi, Senior BJP Leader and Honorable Member of Parliament presented the award to Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad.
On the same day, A book entitled “Entrepreneurship: Learning and Implementation” was unveiled by Ms. Meenakshi Lekhi. This book is a joint initiative of CEGR & IMS, Ghaziabad. The book has been co-authored by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director IMS Ghaziabad with Mr. Praveen Sinha, CMD, Jabong.com and Dr. Kirti Dutta as editorial board members.
The book is aimed at providing the right direction to entrepreneurial thoughts and bridging the gap between the theoretical concept and practical applicability of entrepreneurship decisions. On the same day, During the second National Seminar on “Higher Education: What India Needs?”, Dr. Makkar participated as a distinguished panelist and extended her views on the theme. She stated that without quality and focused research in Higher Education, India will not be able to sustain the global challenges.
She highlighted the urgent need of talented students and qualified faculty members/trainers to raise the level of higher education in India. The Seminar witnessed Academicians, Research Scholars and Corporates from various reputed institutes and corporate houses.
