Day 1: at Radisson Blu, Kaushambi, Delhi-NCR

IMS Ghaziabad, under the dynamic leadership of Prof. J P Sharma, Director, organized a Two Day, International Conference on "Corporate Governance: Retrospect and Prospects", (ICCG IMSGZB 2017) on February 12-13, 2017 where a Galaxy of eminent thought-leaders congregated for Stimulating Panel Discussions and Keynote addresses. The International Conference is organized with a mission to bring together global researchers, academicians, policy makers and practitioners on a common platform in corporate governance and allied disciplines like finance and law etc.

The Inaugural Session on Day-1 at Radisson Blu, Kaushambi-Delhi NCR (India) was graced and embellished by the Chief Guest - Shri. Narendra K. Verma, MD & CEO, ONGC Videsh Limited, Principal Guests - His Excellency, Sh. Nejmeddine Lakhal, Ambassador of Tunisia, Mr. Hassane, Minister and Dy. Chief of Mission, Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco, Key Note Speaker: Prof. Stuart Locke, Professor of Finance, Formerly Chairperson-Department of Finance, University of Waikato, Management School, New Zealand along with Dr Pramod Agarwal ji, Patron & Managing Trustee, IMS Ghaziabad, Sh. Sanjay Agarwal ji, Chairman IMS Society and Sh. Rakesh Chharia ji, General Secretary IMS Society. During his welcome address, Prof. J.P Sharma, Director IMS Ghaziabad, Lal Kuan Campus welcomed all the guests and highlighted upon the importance of corporate governance and CSR in all businesses.

Globally renowned academicians, authorities on Corporate Governance & keynote speakers for Day 2 - Prof. Till Talaulicar, Chairman, International Corporate Governance Society, Chair of Organization & Management, University of Erfurt, Formerly of Economics, Law and Social Sciences, Germany, Dr. Shann Turnbull, Principal, International Institute for Self-governance, Prolific Author, Serial Entrepreneur & Co-Founder of the Sustainable Money Working Group & the New Garden Cities Alliance, Australia also graced the session.

Renowned experts from academia and industry across the Globe graced the Panel discussion on a theme of “Corporate Governance- where are we going” in the Pre-Lunch session. Dr. M S Sahoo, Chairman - Insolvency & Bankruptcy Board of India & Former CEO - ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India), chaired the discussion with the panel members - Mr. Nessar Ahmad, Former President, The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Shri. L.V. V. Iyar, Renowned Author & Partner, LVV Iyer & Associates, Hyderabad, Dr. Achintan Bhattacharya, Director, NIBM, Pune, Prof. R.K. Mishra, Director, Institute of Public Enterprises, Hyderabad.

Post Lunch Panel discussion was chaired  by Shri. Bhaskar Chatterjee, IAS, Former Director General & CEO, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) & Former Secretary, Govt. of India, along with panel members - Prof. Rattan Sharma, Former Professor IIM, MDI, SP Jain IMR, Dr. H. Chaturvedi, Director, BIMTECH, Dr. S.P. Narang, Member, Board of Governors-MDI Former Secretary & CEO, ICSI, Shri. Pawan Kumar, IRS Commissioner Income Tax, Former Director, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, on highly demanding theme of “Integrating CSR into the Mainstream Business”.

Dr. S.K Dube, Convener introduced the conference to all and Dr. Pankaj K Agarwal, Co-Convener, proposed the Vote of Thanks.
