IMT Ghaziabad organizes a blood donation camp at its campus

IMT Ghaziabad, India’s premier AACSB accredited management school with a distinct focus on Innovation, Execution and Social Responsibility works towards ensuring holistic development of students, where corporate competitiveness is equally matched with the zeal to give back to the society. Make A Difference Foundation (MADF), the social initiative wing at IMT, in association with the Rotary Club, organised ‘Sanjeevani - a blood donation drive at the IMT Ghaziabad campus. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the esteemed director of IMT, Dr Atish Chattopadhyay, Dean Ravikesh Srivastava and the Head of the Women’s wing of Rotary Club – The Inner Wheel, Mrs Shivani Jain. Dr Atish Chattopadhyay emphasised on the importance of ‘consumption and contribution’ and how important it is for each individual to maintain a balance between the two. He further elaborated on blood being the binding force of the human society and thus the need to donate blood being paramount.

The blood donation camp kicked off with its first donor and soon the volunteers had their hands full as a flurry of donors came rushing in, each wanting to do their bit for the society. Rotary and Inner Wheel staff along with Team MADF streamlined the operations and the smooth functioning of the camp ensued. The drive ended having achieved over 150 donations, a number higher than last year’s figures, truly representing the zest and spirit of IMTians. Proud donors were presented with a memento and certificate, as a token of appreciation for their valuable contribution. The numbers spoke for themselves and the acknowledgement from the organisers at the end of it sealed the emphatic success of the initiative.
