Introduction & Objectives

Accounting is fast emerging as the language of business. A business enterprise communicates its results to the stakeholders through financial statements. These financial statements can be used in a variety of ways - to take credit decisions, investment decisions or simply to understand the revenue and cost structure of the competitors. Understanding of the financial statements enhances our ability to assess the prospects and risk being faced by the company. However over a period of time complexities of accounting have increased many folds. The operating managers find it difficult to understand and interpret the information conveyed by these financial statements. The workshop will be helpful in improving business decisions by evaluating company’s financial position.
