MICA, Ahmedabad Completes Summer Placements With 61 Partner Companies

MICA, Ahmedabad - India’s premier institute for Strategic Marketing and Communication, completed summer placement for the 23rd Batch, of its flagship course - PGDM-Communications.  A total of 61 companies partnered with MICA in this season and recruited the 168 students sitting for the campus placements drive.

The average stipend offered was Rs. 27,342 per month and the median achieved was Rs. 25,000 per month. The highest stipend offered this placement season was Rs.80,000 per month by L’Oreal and Colgate Palmolive. 2 students secured international internship opportunities at the M.H. Alshaya Group.

The largest intake in the week was from brand consulting & advertising sector, which recruited 30.9% of the students. 11.9% students were recruited by the Media and Entertainment sector followed by 11.3% in Digital/Intenet domain and 10.1% in FMCG. Other prominent sectors that completed the pie were Digital Marketing, Retail, Apparel & Fashion, IT/ITES, Sports, Automotive, Biotechnology, FMCD, Advisory, Telecommunications, Events, Insurance, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering and Pharmaceuticals.

Leo Burnett was the largest recruiter, followed by DDB Mudra, Amazon and GroupM.

Titan, HT Media & Digital Quotient, Future Group, Star India,Amul, Wipro IT, NBA, Raymond, Berger Paints, CEB, Target Group, Disney, Puma, Kaya, Happily Unmarried, Bewakoof Brands, Redbus, Bookmyshow  were some of the other prominent recruiters.

Some new names that partnered with MICA this season were Turner International India, Edelman, Bosch, WAT Consult, Mediadotnet, Exchange4Media, Publicis India, RealBridge, Voonik, Terra Reach, Eicher, The Sound, and Wizcraft International Entertainment.
