MICA Ahmedabad, India's premier B-school for Strategic Marketing and Communications, is all set to host its 13th edition of TEDx talk on the theme 'Strikethrough’, which aims at celebrating fearless experimentation. This year, the independently organized event, licensed by TED, will host eight speakers from all walks of life who will share their experiences of making a breakthrough instead of erasing their errors.

The speakers include Ms Mini Mathur, Actor, Model, TV Host, and VJ; Mr Atul Tiwari, Actor, Film writer, Thespian, and Museum Maker; Ms Shatbhi Basu, India's First Female Bartender, Author, and Entrepreneur; Mr Harsh Kedia, CEO, A Diabetic Chef, Author, Featured in Asia's Forbes 30 under 30, 2022; Ms Monika Halan, Writer, Author, Speaker, Chairperson - Advisory Committee for Investor Protection and Education Fund (SEBI); Ms Shalini Prakash, Venture Capitalist, Founder, and Investor - Purple Matter, Author; Mr Sai Ganesh, Quizmaster, Founder - India Wants to Know, and Mr Dinesh S. Thakur, Public Health Activist.

Delving more on the theme, a second-year student and TEDxMICA organiser Yashvi Kampani and Trayambak Gour said, “This year's theme is 'Strikethrough' - an ode to starting over - no matter how many trials it takes. When you strike off your errors instead of erasing them, is when you make a breakthrough. TEDxMICA 2023 hails all who make these brave choices and wear them like a badge of honor.”

Second-year student and TEDx committee members Urvi Verma and Vibhuti Chhokra shared, “Shortlisting speakers for TEDxMICA was challenging but a rewarding experience. It has allowed me as a curator to play a significant role in shaping the content and success of the event. It allowed me to connect with interesting and inspiring people, learn about new and innovative ideas, and have a chance to bring those ideas to the wider community through the TEDx event.”
