MICANS CELEBRATE CHILDREN’S DAY WITH PRABHAT FOUNDATION

Jagriti, the student-run social service wing of MICA, organized a day trip to The Prabhat Foundation – A School for Autistic Children to celebrate ‘Muskaan’, an initiative that aims to spread smiles through giving. A pool of around 24 students visited the school to interact with the children, in hopes of making the day a little bit brighter for them. The team went armed with goodies and entertainment and were met with smiling faces all around. The gifts included educational toys, colouring books, crayons and chocolates.

The children at Prabhat Foundation are aged between 10-21, but unfortunately because of their condition they all have mental ages below 10. However, this did not stop them from showcasing their talents. Some danced, while others sang and almost everyone was an artist, when they sat down for an art session. Harshili Malhotra, one of the students to accompany Team Jagriti was all praises for the initiative stating how this was “the best way to spend our rest day”.
