MICA, Ahmedabad, gears up to host its second virtual International Communication Management Conference (ICMC 2022), commencing January 04, 2022.
Spanning over four days, the conference based on the theme ‘The Future of Business in a Digital Era: Data, Analytics, and Narratives’ will bring research scholars and industry experts to discuss and understand newer narratives in a changing world.
This year, ICMC will have the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, as its academic partner.
With industry-led talks, business leaders’ panels, and teach-in sessions with experts, the conference platform will provide insights into emerging narratives, ideas, practices, and approaches into the future of business in a digital era.
Researchers and scholars can submit their papers that address themes such as global data governance, data privacy, data literacy, consumer insight mining, big data and predictive analysis, cryptocurrency modeling, and many more by October 31, 2021.
As a precursor to the event, the conference will host Young Scholars and Researchers Consortium (YSRC) that aims at providing a platform to doctoral candidates, young managers, and practitioners from the industry as well as early-career academics and postdoctoral candidates to present their research papers.
Some of the submitted paper titles include ‘A Comparative Analysis of Student’s Experience with Online institutional learning Vs. Personal Ed-tech learning’, ‘Branding Taliban: A Sentiment Analysis of Online News Reports,’ ‘Activist Content Sharing and Creation of Narratives on Social-Media: The Role of Human Behavior,’ Moderating Effect of Augmented Reality Interactive Technology on Instagram’s Social Commerce,’ ‘Our Cyborg Selves: The Body as Data in a Digital Age,’ ‘Data Visualization reporting style in Newspapers and its effect on Consumption level among the Indian public in Metro cities’, and many more.
ICMC co-chairs Prof. Ashutosh Dutt and Prof. Dharun Kasilingam said, “ICMC 2022 is all about the future of business in the digital world driven by analytics. We will present, discuss and debate issues that are most pertinent to new-age businesses. With the University of Southampton, UK, as our conference partner and participation from worldwide, the conference focus will be global. Our list of speakers includes professors from Cambridge University, the CEO of Paytm payment services, and many more eminent guests.”

To encourage research, MICA, Ahmedabad, has increased the prize money. The best paper will receive Rs. 4,00,000 (USD 5,350), the runner-up will receive Rs 2,00,000 (USD 2,675) and the second runner-up will receive Rs 100,000 (USD 1,340). There will be two consolation prizes of Rs. 60,000 (USD 800) each.The Journal of Creative Communications (published by SAGE) and ICMC special issue with the Journal of Strategic Marketing (an ABDC-A Category Journal) will consider selected papers for publication.
