Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Bengaluru is all set to host a Tree Maintenance Drive under Symbriksha, an endeavor by Social Responsibility Committee of SIBM-B in association with SayTrees, on February 21, 2016.

The Social Responsibility Committee (SRC) of SIBM-B, understands the importance of tree maintenance along with that of tree plantation. Hence a tree plantation drive, in the month of June-July and a tree maintenance drive in the month of February is conducted every year, under the Annual Tree Plantation & Maintenanceevent of SIBM Bengaluru - Symbriksha.
Through this venture, the students hope to foster a sense of team spirit and also inculcate in the youth, the importance of a green city. They hope to send across to the masses the message of building a greener and healthier environment.
The maintenance drive, being conducted under the NGO SayTrees, is open for all, rallying a helping hand from local community people as well. The volunteers are required to wear shoes and caps and are advised to bring their water bottles. The students and the volunteers shall be given a patch of land where they will have to do activities which include de-weeding the trees, watering the saplings and applying leaf mulch.
