Xavier University Bhubaneswar

The Literary Society of Xavier University Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with Terribly Tiny Tales, conducted a short-story writing workshop, followed by a digital competition called ‘TTT Now’ on 21st July 2018, which saw students from across streams participate in large numbers.

TTT Now

Mr. Anuj Gosalia and Mr. Chintan Ruparel, the co-founders of Terribly Tiny Tales, flagged off the workshop by addressing the gathering through a quirky, instructive video: demonstrating the nuances of writing short stories. They also shared a few tips for the same, the first of which was to ‘kill your darlings’, wherein they urged the participants to discard the first thought that comes to their mind. The co-founders stressed on the importance of writing relatable content, and of surprising themselves and their audience with what is being conveyed. The golden rule, however, was that there are no rules whatsoever.

Armed with these, the participants put on their thinking caps and came up with catchy 140-character micro tales within the stipulated time period of thirty minutes and uploaded their entries on the TTT application.

All participants received digital certificates for their active participation. Siddardha Manthena, a first-year student of MBA-HRM was adjudged the winner of the TTT Now event at XUB.
