IIM Amritsar hosted several events and activities during the ongoing Vigilance Week to support the vision and mission of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Vaani- Literary and public speaking club of IIM Amritsar successfully conducted ‘Vaagmita’- a speech competition on the topic Integrity- A way of life. The participants spoke about how Integrity is an integral part which is to be incorporated in personal behaviour and how it can affect our daily lives.
Student’s Council conducted the Integrity Pledge ceremony at the campus. The event was marked by the presence of faculty members of IIM Amritsar including Prof. Umesh Kumar (Assistant Professor, HRM & OB Area), Prof. Vartika Dutta (Assistant Professor, HRM & OB Area), Prof. Mahima Gupta (Assistant Professor, Quantitative Methods and Operations Management), Prof. Harpreet Kaur (Assistant Professor, Quantitative Methods and Operations Management), Prof. Santosh Kumar Tiwari (Assistant Professor, Strategic Management), Prof. Gurjeet Kaur (Associate Professor-Marketing Management). Students took the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge’ in the spirit of unification of the country, where they pledged to preserve the unity, integrity, and security of the nation. Students also took an ‘Integrity Pledge’ where they took an oath to work towards eradicating the menace of corruption in everyday lives. They pledged to exhibit integrity in personal behaviour and transparently perform all tasks.
Sports Committee conducted the ‘Walk-a-thon’ where the participants supported the initiative by walking around the campus. The participants showed great enthusiasm towards the activity. This created a lively atmosphere around the campus and students were zealous to support this initiative of inculcating integrity and awareness among the citizens of the country.
Sankalp- the Social Service Club, conducted an Article Writing Competition to support the initiative.
These set of activities helped in creating a healthy environment in the campus. Also, the exorbitant energy level among the students made the events successful and impactful.
