IIM Rohtak is all set to launch a new campus in Gurugram. This new campus will be offering executive MBA programme as IIM Lucknow does in its Noida Campus. The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has allotted 6 acres of land in Sector 43 in Gurugram near Paras Hospital. The campus is expected to welcome the first batch in the next 3-4 years. The institute was initially looking for about 10 acres but has been allotted 6 acres instead.

In order to facilitate students of the National Capital Region aspiring to pursue Management Studies, the authorities of IIM Rohtak, planned to have a study centre of the institute at Gurugram. The aim of building a new campus is to also to welcome students from neighbouring countries. The authorities have not mentioned any information about the residential facilities to be provided by the institution. While HSVP will provide the services only up to the periphery of the land, the internal development of the campus will be IIM Rohtak’s responsibility.

The possession of land will be handed over by HSVP within 90 days of issuing the allotment letter. The allotment is solely for education, research and training purposes. Since the allotted land is an institutional plot, for which IIM Rohtak might want to meet sure circumstances. Firstly, the plot cannot be used for something aside from the said objective. Secondly, its possession cannot be transferred. Thirdly, change of land use or business use, aside from campus wants like hostel and canteen, just isn’t allowed. And lastly, fragmentation and sub-division of the land is not going to be permitted. If any of those norms are violated, the land, together with any constructions that will have been raised, must be returned to HSVP. Furthermore, the development of the campus ought to be carried out in accordance with the zoning plan and the constructing code.

The new campus will focus on recruiting excellent students in the forthcoming batch taking into account diversity from all aspects of society, the institute will step-up its efforts to recruit top-class faculty taking into account diversity from all aspects of society. The management believes that the new campus will stem from ancient traditions and would produce scholars, managers, professors, and policy-makers who will exhibit superior work-ethic, high commitment, impervious focus, extraordinary decisiveness, strong persistence and positive attitude.
