Evolution of Media - The Nexus of Brand Transformation: Talking Point at “COMMUNIQUE 2019”

"COMMUNIQUE 2019", the annual Media Conclave, organized by IlluminatiX- the Media & PR Cell of XIMB, is slated to be held at Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar on Sunday, 1st September. This year, the limelight will be on the topic “Evolution of Media- The Nexus of Brand Transformation”.

In its sixth edition, this marquee event shall witness the dais get lit up by eminent personalities from the world of brand management, advertising, media and public relations.

The first speaker of this flagship event is Mr Yuvraj Mehta, Head, Corporate Brand Management & Communications at Larsen & Toubro. He has a leadership experience of over twenty years in Corporate Communications, Reputation management, Crisis communication, Media Relation, Brand management, Digital PR, Internal and Social communication, and Advocacy. Mr Mehta had earlier been associated with GMR. Under his leadership, the company won various prestigious industry awards in communication, such as Public Relation Council of India awards, PR world award (USA), Hermes Creative Awards (USA) and shortlisted for ABBY awards. His prior stints include positions of responsibility in Reliance Infrastructure, Samsung, etc. He has been listed as one of India's top 100 digital marketers by Adobe and appreciated by Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Govt of India for launching world's largest charkha and also named as 'Chanakya Promising PR Person of the year 2017’ by PRCI. He is currently serving as the Chairman of Indo American Chamber of Commerce for Smart City Forum. A speaker and jury member at various bodies like Economic Times Strategy Masterclass, Times Now E&Y NRI of the Year Season 4, etc., Mr Mehta is also a part of the prestigious FICCI Young Leaders Forum. He is a guest faculty to various Indian institutions and has published more than 22 articles and 5 research papers till date. He has also been part of several government delegations and committees, such as Qatar’s High-level Ministerial Delegate to Japan, Ministry of Civil aviation, GOI etc.

The second speaker of the event is Mr Digvijay Shekhawat, Senior Vice President at Ogilvy. A management graduate and a certified digital professional, he has over 17 years of experience in marketing, advertising, (brand, digital + social media including performance marketing) and sales. His expertise and uniqueness in this field have catapulted him into top 50 creative content marketers in India by LinkedIn and Paul Writer. A winner of prestigious awards like ECHO, Emvies, Kyoorius, InkSpell etc., he has worked both in Marketing Management as well as Sales roles while specializing in integrated communications that span across B2B and B2C sectors. Mr Digvijay also indulges in activities like getaways on superbikes, horse-riding and playing golf.

 

The third speaker of the event is Mr Manish Jhaveri, Senior Creative Consultant at IBD and Da Cunhas, a legendary figure in the advertising industry responsible for churning out humorous yet relevant ads through the widely popular Amul Girl for over 25 years. Mr Jhaveri is the sole copyrighter of Amul's topical ads which he has single-handedly managed with awe-inspiring perseverance and relentlessness, sometimes churning out 4 to 5 ads per week. He has been in the business of ideas and communication for nearly 26 years, having previously worked for Rediff.com as a creative consultant. Despite achieving astounding success in advertising, Mr Jhaveri is always passionate about learning new techniques and taking fresh challenges. His creativity is not just limited to ad making as he has been a long-time acquaintance of Javed Jaffrey and has penned down numerous events which include three prestigious IIFA award ceremonies.

 

The fourth speaker of the event is Mr Bibhu Ranjan Mishra, Associate Editor, Business Standard. He has over two decades of experience in brand building and journalism. After starting his career in Odia daily newspaper Dharitri as its online editor, he climbed the ladder of journalism by working for behemoths like Times of India, Indian Express and Business Standard. He spearheaded the Global Corporate Communications and PR Functions of Tech Mahindra for almost two years. His writings include extensive works across domains like IT, FMCG, Banking and Finance, Aerospace and Defence. As an established brand builder and story writer, he has been actively involved with the changing paradigms of the media landscape. On the personal front, Mr Mishra is a passionate writer of poems as well as stories and regularly indulges in philanthropic activities.

 

The event shall provide a holistic and interactive platform to the future managers for in-depth interaction with eminent industry stalwarts. Winners of Communiquiz-the annual Media & PR quiz as well as Communique`-the annual Article and Poster making competition organized by IlluminatiX will be felicitated. The annual newsletter of IlluminatiX, “Communiqué” will also be released by the esteemed panellists followed by a vote of thanks from the dignitaries of the institute.
