The Xavier School of Management has pertinently concluded the Placements for the ongoing Batch- 2016-18, for its 2-year flagship Programme: Postgraduate Diploma in Management- HRM and BM, wherein all the 354 candidates secured sterling offers through the Final Recruitment Process in just three and a half days.
The Final Recruitment Process witnessed participation from around 132 recruiters, including 29 of the First-Time Recruiters, carrying with them 370 offers.
XLRI Placements 2018 Crest:
- The median salary offered to the batch of 2016-18 is INR 21 Lakh P.A., whereas the average salary is INR 20.1 Lakh P.A.
- The total number of PPO’s received is 122.
- The number of First-Time Recruiters was 29.
- The Placements saw a substantial participation from PSUs like GAIL, IOCL, and HPCL, along with the First-Time Recruiters like the National Housing Bank, and India Health Action Trust.

XLRI’s unopposed reputation for its Human Resource Program was evident by the fact that the HR students secured remarkable job offers across multiple sectors like Consulting, FMCG, General Management, etc.
Consulting
From the Consulting domain, the placements witnessed the presence of some eminently reputed Management Consultancy Firms like The Boston Consulting Group, Accenture Technology Consulting, Deloitte S&O, KPMG, EY, Deloitte and PwC.
Marketing and FMCG
XLRI has been established as one of the most preferred recruitment destinations over the years because of the striking opportunities of Sales and Marketing offered by the FMCG sector. This year too substantiated the presence of Industry Stalwarts like P&G, Colgate Palmolive, Hindustan Unilever Limited, Nestle, RB Johnson & Johnson, Mondelez, ITC India, AB InBev, and Heinz, from the FMCG Sector.
Finance
There were Industry Majors like Avendus Capital, JP Morgan Chase, Citibank, DBS, Societe Generale, Edelweiss and Standard Chartered, from the financial services sector.
General Management
XLRI’s students specializing both in Human Resource and Business Management Functions, continued to get recruited by reputed conglomerates like Tata Administrative Services, Aditya Birla Group, RP Goenka group and Capgemini, offering General Management roles.
Operations
The highlight of the recruitment process was the exemplary placement scenario across the Consulting and the Operations domain. Students secured meritorious placements in prestigious operation roles in companies like P&G, RB and Amazon. Boston Consulting Group hired 12 candidates.
Other remarkable companies offering recruitments to the students included General Electric, Shell, Samsung Electronics, Bharti Airtel and Star.
Besides the above-mentioned companies, this year’s placements saw a brilliant participation from PSUs like GAIN, IOCL, and HPCL, along with the First-Time Recruiters like the National Housing Bank and India Health Action Trust that hired a large number of students.
