The organizing team of each of each game committee launched their respective games which won the much deserved applaud from the audience.
FIELD LAUNCH: SET FIRE TO THE RAIN
The occasion of the field launch of this festival was marked by a complete black out for 15 minutes. As a run up to Xpressions and to support environmental sustainability & contributing a part to the society, the launch witnessed for the first time ever, a complete shut-down of electricity for 15 minutes throughout the campus. It was a step on behalf of XIMB to extend their support for energy conservation and green initiative. The coordinators of all the student committees and faculties were present to facilitate this initiative taken by the Student Executive Council of XIMB and Xpressions Steering Committee. It was followed by launching of sky-lantern that lit up the night sky. A sight to behold. It kindled all the spirits and emotions as well. And it manifested the launch of ‘Xpressions’, a legacy that started in 1998, now one of the most respected and looked forward to b-school events in the country.
The event also witnessed the field launch of all the game committees of XIMB. It was challenging in the rains to conduct this. But little did the rains affect the spirits of the crazy mavericks. The game committee launches started with a touch of defiance and glitz of glamour. ‘Gladiators’ drew the first blood. The entire arena seemed to be in awe of the leaders. Classy as a glass of champagne yet brutal as the gladiators, this gaming committee comes with a legacy to behold. The second ones though child at heart, but with the valour of the Sun God, ‘Helios’. The Team Helios brought out Fire Power and set the campus burning with its name. The next one was of the warring clan, the oldest of all, ‘Kurukshetra’. ‘Skill City’, entertained with bhangda dance while ‘Spardha’ set everyone’s feet tapping. The Spardha clan not only celebrated the Indian spirit of festivity but also the sheer liveliness of life. Every committee explained their functionalities during ‘Xpressions’. The unique way all the committees launched and introduced themselves was a treat for everyone present in the event.
