Indian Institute of Management Raipur is organizing 1st HR Summit on September 19-20, 2014 in Raipur on “Aligning HR with Business Strategy”. Addressing a gathering of media persons at New Circuit house Raipur, B.S Sahay, Director IIM Raipur, said “HR is expected to diagnose with precision the human capabilities needed to support the current and future business strategies of the organization. Summits like this will help generate interest for greater research into HR related subjects.”Elaborating upon the HR function, Dr. Sahay said that HR is no longer a function that records attendance and manages facilities, “It is a complex process of understanding, evaluating and analyzing to take viable managerial decisions to retain and nurture human capital”.
Over top 50 HR Directors and Vice-Presidents from MNCs, Public and Private sectors will address the two day Summit which is likely to see participation by over 300 delegates from different parts of the country. Professor Sanjeev Prashar introduced the speakers most of them who were senior HR representatives of the Indian corporate scene
Over the course of the two day summit, six panel discussions will be conducted on themes ranging from Managing the Intangible to Leadership in Volatile Times.
