Jaipuria Institute of Management Studies, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad conducted the conference on Ethics and Values in Indian Society on 15th February, 2014. It was a structured one-day conference, which focused on five fields, i.e., Judicial Services, Civil Services; Banking and Financial Services, Business in India, and Indian Media (Speaker: Eminent TV Journalist ShriManojRaghuvanshi).

The Conference served as a common platform for academicians, practitioners, industrialist and management students where they could interact and share their views and experiences on the importance of Values and Ethics in Indian Society. 
 
The inauguration ceremony was presided over Dr. RajaramAjipuria, Chairman and Managing Director, Ginni Filaments, Noida, Prof (Dr) M. Ashraf Rizvi (Director), Jaipuria Institute of Management Studies, Indirapuram and Mr. R M Malla, MD & CEO of PTC India Financial Services.

The plenary sessions included eminent personalities like, Justice V GopalaGowda, sitting judge of Supreme Court;Mr P K Lahiri, Chairman, General Council and Executive Board of ISM, Dhanbad.

Prominent thoughts that came up for discussion were: “Significance of ethics and values for achieving happiness and success”; “Use of ethics in professional practices for sustainability, profitability and scalability of business” and “Ethical Dilemmas in Decision making”, and “Understanding of the conceptual foundations of India ethical practices”.

The post lunch session saw an interactive and enriching panel discussion between seasoned distinguished personalities, Mr. VinodMalhotra, Civil Servant and Author; Mr. SubhashBhaskar; 
 
Dr Prakash Mathure, Dean, Executive Education, Jaipuria and Mr ManojRaghuvanshi, reputed television journalist. The Panel Discussion in the afternoon was followed by an Open Forum For Sharing Innovative Ethical Practices. During Panel Discussion, the Delegates were encouraged to take active part through questions and discussions. During Open Forum, delegates and interested participants were invited to talk about innovative ethical practices followed in their organization/Institute/Company.
 
The event was concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Mathure, followed by high tea and networking amongst the dignitaries from various walks of life.
