S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, a leading School of Management, was established in the heart of the country’s Financial Centre of Mumbai, in the year 1981, by the then British Prime Minister- Rt. Hons. Margaret Thatcher. Over the years, the Institute has grown to be recognized as one of the top ten Business Schools of India.
SPJIMR is a part of the Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, and functions as an autonomous Institute, with entrepreneurial dexterity. Programmes
The Institute caters numerous Management Programmes, ranging from Full-Residential Programmes, Family Managed Business Programmes, Executive Management Programmes, Social Sector Programmes, Entrepreneurship Programmes, to Global and Executive Education Programmes.
One remarkable Programme, amongst these diverse courses, is the Global Management Programme.
Global Management Programme (GMP)
Formerly known as PGCIM, SPJIMR’s Global Management Programme, or GMP, is a sterling initiative, that connects the Institution to the best Global Business Schools and Universities. The Programme commenced in the year 2010, and has grown to be a substantial offering, that opens up opportunities for the candidates to study at SPJIMR, and continue the Programme at the Institute’s International Partner Schools.
The Programme began with a partnership between the ESB Business School of Reutlingen University, Germany, and SPJIMR, after the receipt of an initial recognition, and funding from the European Commission. The Programme was initially designed to align with the Programme- MBA in International Management, offered by the ESB Business School.
Through GMP, SPJIMR has been successfully building up its approach to globalization, which is crucial to create a Multinational Faculty and Alumni Base, along with developing partnerships with the noted Educational Institutes abroad.
The Partner Schools for the Programme include: Brandeis International Business School, Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; EBS Business School, Oestrich-Winkel, Germany; IESEG School of Management, Paris, Lille, France; Nyenrode Business Universiteit, Breukelen, near Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for admission to GMP is:
- The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, with a decent academic record.
- The candidate should acquire a good GMAT/GRE/CAT/XAT score.
- The candidate must have a minimum of three years’ experience for Admission in Brandeis, EBS, IESEG, and NBU, for the MBA Programmes.
The selection of the candidates shall depend upon their profile, experience, and CAT/XAT/GMAT/GRE Score. The selected candidates, shall then be called up for the Interview and Group Discussion, at the S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai. The result of the Interview shall be released within 15 days of the Interview Process.
