FORE School of Management,

FORE School of Management, New Delhi will be hosting its annual fest- Genesis on the 21st and 22nd of November, 2014 when the college campus will take on a festive look and welcome students from all over the country. Genesis as a B-School fest has continued to grow, and this year’s event is the 23rd edition of the inter-college fest.  Students from various institutes look forward to converging on the campus to share ideas, compete in numerous activities and make a mark on professionals and members of faculty. The two-day event this year, as always, is expected to be high on the cool quotient and make a lasting impression on the participants.

In many ways, Genesis is an extension of the curriculum at FORE , pushing the mental and physical abilities of students who thrive on the atmosphere it creates. This year will be no different, as the tagline of the event suggests it to be a platform for all to “Dream, Dare, Deliver.” It is not only a fantastic opportunity for students of the institute to interact with peers from across the country, but also a chance to show off their management skills and creativity, which are reflected in the preparations for the event.

FORE School of Management,

Genesis has set the bar high for management fests held in the country and this year’s edition aims to put on a show that keeps with its glorious tradition. In fact, students who make their way to the FORE School of Management, New Delhi campus will find the sheer scale of the events impressive and in a league of its own. Sahil Wadhva, one of the student organizers of the event this year says, “We are aware of the expectations for the event and that motivates us to put on a spectacular show. We assure everyone of a fantastic time during the event as we make memories together.”

Students from many renowned institutes will be vying for top honours in different competitions that have become synonymous with the event. Participants don’t come here to make up the numbers; they are here to win and make their respective institutes proud. The sense of competition only adds to the energy of the fest.

Corporate Buddha, a Case Study competition, is one of the all-time favourites and it will have students doing their best in several offline and online contests to become the “Buddha” of the corporate world. If that tests your calm composure, then try The Argumentative Indian, the debating competition. Things get heated up as participants do everything possible to articulate their points and score a point or two. For all the aspiring entrepreneurs who want to test their mettle, there’s Ba-Czar, a startup execution competition to look forward to as well.

Markathon, organized by SIGMA (Special Interest Group Marketing), is an event that was introduced last year and it became an instant hit. It will be back this year to add to the level of competition along with BackFlush, which is an Operations Challenge and Techno Slides, which tests the presentation skills of the students. Concoct, which is a B-plan competition where participants are taken through ideation and implementation rounds for businesses, will be another highlight of events at Genesis 14.

While these competitions test the various management skills of the students, there are extracurricular activities that bring artists and creative minds to the fore. Some of these activities include Dumb & Dumber, which is meant for budding actors, has always been well received at the fest. Together with the street play competition, Jagrukta, the dance competition, Step Up, and the Treasure hunt, The Amazing Race, these activities will only go on to add dollops of thrills, fun and excitement to Genesis 2014.

Overall, Genesis ‘14 seems to be ready to scale new heights of success as far as college fests go. So, come November 21 all roads will lead to the FORE School of Management, New Delhi campus for student enthusiasts from all over the country.
