In the series of Faculty Development Programmes (FDP), under TEQIP-II, IIM Raipur will hold the 4thProgram from Monday, 10th November to 15th November, 2014. 23 Senior Professors and Associate Professors from 15 engineering institutions across five states of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal and Tripura are attending the same.
This program is being organised under the initiative of Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD), Government of India. The second phase of Technical Education Improvement Program (TEQIP) for academic and administrative heads of higher educational institutes is aimed to promote the academic excellence and quality administration of technical institutions.
Prof. Sanjeev Prashar, Coordinator of TEQIP II program at IIM Raipur informed that this six days program on Management Capacity Enhancement for faculty members shall focus on achieving academic excellence and developing the institution according to Washington Accord; Creating awareness of Modern Teaching Methods for an improved Teaching-Learning Process; Framing competency based learning and an industry oriented curriculum with societal focus; Enhancing the credibility of the academic evaluation process and transparency in administration; Creating road map for self-development; Designing and developing long term and short term goals; Enhancing the research potential of a faculty member; Developing management skills among faculty members; Building strong networks with industry and enhancing institutional and System management effectiveness.
