Institute of Management Technology (IMT) was established in 1980 by eminent industrialist Shri Mahendra Nath with Dr. C. B. Gupta. Since then IMT has been consistently reinventing management education with an objective of creating management leaders who can navigate the ever-changing business landscape. 

 

IMT has four campuses: IMT-Ghaziabad Campus (established in 1980), IMT- Nagpur which was established in 2004, Dubai campus, established in 2006 and a newly opened campus at Hyderabad that has been launched in  year 2011. 

 

IMT is a top 10 player in almost all rankings and across parameters. The latest Economic Times B-school survey ranked IMT Ghaziabad 7th overall. The same survey ranked IMT Ghaziabad 5th overall based on perception of corporates.

Sprawled over 14.7 acre land IMT- Ghaziabad is a fully residential campus. The Ghaziabad campus infrastructure consists of academic blocks, student hostels, combined mess, canteens and Nescafe stall, amphitheatre, MDP block and guest house, car and bike parking, lush green field.  A football field, badminton, tennis, and volleyball court, jogging tracks and a multipurpose gymnasium are some of the key recreational features of the campus. 

 

IMT Ghaziabad’s intranet uses advanced fiber optic cables. It gives a wealth of information via connectivity of 100 Mbps to the entire campus including the hostel blocks. Wi-Fi enabled, all areas of the campus enjoy the internet irrespective of where students are – in their hostels or in the academic block, doing research in the library or sitting in the Computer lab, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is available 24 hours six days a week. Close to the Academic Block of the campus, the Library is a multi storied edifice that houses a vast collection of books, magazines, newspapers, and other multimedia tools which are replenished often. Wi-fi enabled Library works round the clock including Saturdays and Sundays. 

 

The IMT-Ghaziabad library has very rich collections of e-books, e-journals, corporate & industry information and country research databases to fulfill the research and teaching need of the academic community. An institutional member of the American Information Resource Centre (AIRC), British Council Library (BCL), Management Libraries Network (MANLIBNET), Developing Libraries Network (DELNET), Indian National Digital Library in Engineering Sciences & Technology (INDEST) and Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI) the IMT Library fulfills the information needs of its faculty, students and researchers scholars.

IMT's educational programs have been recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India

 

IMT offers following programs: 

 

• Two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management

• Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Marketing (also known as PGDM-FT)

• Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Human Resource

• Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Finance

• Post Graduate Diploma in Management - International Business

• Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Information Technology

• Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Dual Country Program (DCP)

 

For PGDM General/Finance/IT/HR /IB/DCP candidates with minimum 3 years Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate marks in any discipline can apply. Candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination can also apply. Admission will be done through CAT score and Personal interview 

 

• Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Executive: PGDM (Executive) Programme, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Govt. of India, is a full-time, residential 15-months programme (12 months on campus and 3 months field based dissertation).

 For PGDM (Executive) candidates with Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks and a minimum 5 years work experience from the time of joining PGDM (Executive) program and after graduation required.  Candidates should appear for CAT /GMAT for Admissions. 

 

• Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Part-Time

• Three-year part time MBA programme

• Doctoral programme (Ph.D.) in Management

• Management Development Programme for Executives

• General Management Programme for Executives (GMPE)

 

Corporate participants can enroll in the Management Development Programme (MDP) to enhance their business skills and learn managerial decision making. IMT's Fellow Program in Management (FPM) program provides doctoral-level education in business management and related disciplines.

 

Distance learning and E-learning programs of IMT are designed for students who are unable to take up a full- or part-time MBA courses. IMT-Centre for Distance Learning (IMT-CDL) is located on a lush green 6 acre campus and is just an hour's drive from Delhi. The Institute boasts of world-class infrastructure consisting of a fully networked Wi-Fi campus, well-equipped classrooms, a modern auditorium and a well-stocked library.

 

IMT-CDL offers a wide spectrum of management and information technology programs. Learning is further enhanced by information technology that connects students to resources and data around the globe. IMT-CDL has been recognised by Distance Education Council, Government of India.
