Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) (Placement)
The Corporate Resource Centre (CRC), is one of the most facilitating units of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI), that engages with the Industry and incessantly strives for expanding the Industry-Academia interface. Every student wishes to seek an on-campus placement offer, while still studying at an Institution providing professional courses. The Placement Profile of the campus is a paramount indicator of the Institute’s prestige in the contemporary society. It instills enthusiasm and confidence among the students, and their parents, along with registering recognition by the Industry.
CRC’s constant endeavor has been directed towards fulfilling this endeavor of the students. The CRC gathers information, through regular interactions with the leading recruiters, regarding the skillset required by the Industry, along with advising the Institutions under MREI, to incorporate them to make the students even more Industry-ready.
Some of the eminent recruiters, that conduct placements at MREI, are: TCS, Nestle, L&T Infotech, Sony India, HCL Technologies, Radisson Blu Plaza, IBM, SafeNet, Cognizant, Times Business Solutions Ltd., etc. Despite the shrinkage in the job market because of the economic slowdown, MREI has witnessed significant Placement figures, which bears an affidavit to the fact that at MREI, the learning-teaching pedagogy, is in sync with the Industry.
Career Development Cell (CDC)
There is another unit at MREI, called the Career Development Cell (CDC), that assists, guides, and mentors the students in honing Industry relevant skills sets. It is imperative for the students to realize that the Institute can only afford job opportunities and guide the students to enhance their employment quotient, while successfully completing the selection process depends only on the performance and competency of the students.
In order to streamline the placement process, the CRC makes use of an ‘Online Registration Portal’, for the campus placement. All final year students are eligible to log-in through the CRC website. The primary data is filled up by the students, that in turn enables them to get considered for the Placement drives. The academic data is directly uploaded from the authenticated data that is made available from the Examination Department and is verified by the faculty TPOs. This helps the CRC to identify the eligible students for a particular campus drive, based on the recruitment company’s criteria. This also provides the required information for the management of the CRC processes and systems.
The CRC constantly strives to get more and more recruiters on board MRIIRS’ Placement Calendar, and it is absolutely promising to note that the institute gets better, each passing year. Also, the CRC keeps abreast with the needs of the job market, during its interaction with the Industry, and provides valuable input to the teaching faculty, regarding the relevant market skills, so that the students can get prepared to be more employable and skilled.
