Dr. C. N. Narayana, Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies (KIAMS) new Director, has done the institute proud by completing a hat-trick for coveted teaching awards. He has now won the prestigious 2015 DNA & World Educational Congress Award. He was given the Best Professor award in the seventh edition of the highly decorated event that was held at Taj Land’s End, Mumbai on the 18th of Feb.
The award comes close on the heels of the 2013 Times Research Educational Award and the 2014 Dewang Mehta Best Professor for HRM Award. It’s another feather in the cap of the corporate bigwig turned academic with over 25 years of experience in the industry. His juggernaut has rolled on since he took to academia in 2010 and the several awards he has won in a short span of time stand testimony to his sterling contributions.
Talking about his latest achievement Dr. Narayana says, “It feels great to be acknowledged by those in the know and I am excited to win this award. But at the same time I accept it humbly and with a sense of responsibility knowing that a lot of work has to be done to offer students in the country nothing but the best.” It’s this constant willingness to take things a step further that will be an asset to his institute.
Dr. Narayana has been a handsome addition to the KIAMS, one of the top B Schools in the country that has prided on its innovations and novel initiatives for the benefit of students. It has come up with Student Balanced Growth Card, which considers holistic evaluation of students. Seminar Credits was another smart initiative that exposed students to latest management practices and industry practitioners.
Dr. Narayana as the Director of KIAMS is keen on carrying forward the industry-oriented innovations to offer management hopefuls the best learning experience. The awards he has won in a short span, speak volumes about his capabilities and willingness to take steps in the right direction and create an ideal launch-pad for management aspirants. And that is definitely good news for the institute and its students.
