Scholarships and Financial Aids from IIM Bangalore:

IIM Bangalore has incorporated the facilities of financial aids and scholarships for the students to make sure that none of its students is deprived of the educational qualification.

Financial Aids

All PGP students with an annual household income of Rs 6,00,000 and students with severe financial difficulties occur due to circumstances can also seek for Financial Aid.

The Financial Aid Committee follows the two-step process and analyses the situation and finally issues the aid to the student.

Step 1 - Student is scored on the basis of 4 criteria and they are 

  1. Annual Gross Household Income

  2. Household Saving

  3. Real Estate Assets

  4. Other Assets.

Based on the scores, students are called for Personal Interaction with the Faculty Panel.

Step 2 - During the interaction session, the panellist will evaluate the students and their financial needs on the basis of the details provided by the student. 

Based on these 2 stages, the student will get the financial aid of 100%, 80%, 60%, 40% and 20% according to their requirement.

Ans. IIMs are not financially dependent on any government body. They hire professors with several years of experience and higher quality of education so that they can provide the best education to its students.

Ans. Yes, if a student belongs to the SC/ST category with annual household income is less than 2,00,000, then the Government of India will refund the tuition fee of the candidate after he/she submits required papers. Only tuition fees will be refunded, the student will have to pay other remaining fees.
