The 13th of the 20 reputed IIMs to be established in India, IIM Kashipur came into being in the year 2011, in Kashipur Uttarakhand. The institute offers a
- 2 year fulltime residential Postgraduate Programme in Management (PGP)
- 2 year MBA (WX) programme for working executives
IIM Kashipur Admission 2019 – PGP
The candidates applying for the IIM Kashipur PGP will be selected based on the marks scored in the Common Admission Test (CAT) held at the national level. The process undertaken for selecting students for IIM Kashipur Admission 2019-21 will comprise of two stages. All eligible candidates who had appeared for CAT 2018 and had subsequently applied to IIM Kashipur will first need to pass through Stage 1. The candidates shortlisted through this stage will then appear for Stage 2. It is ensured that adequate number of candidates belonging to different minority categories come through Stage 1 in compliance with the reservation policy of Government of India.
Eligibility
The candidates should have secured at least a Bachelor’s degree, scoring a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA. The minimum percentage requirement is reduced for candidates belonging to SC/ST/DAP categories and is kept at 45%. NC-OBC candidates should have scored at least 47% in their graduation.
Candidates awaiting results of their Bachelor’s degree exam or equivalent or appearing for the final year examination of their bachelor’s degree or equivalent are also eligible to apply.
Selection procedure
Stage 1 – Shortlisting of candidates for WAT (Written Ability Test) and PI (Personal Interview) round
The candidates will be shortlisted based on their CAT scores and the overall academic performance.
Below provided is a table detailing the CAT scores required for the students to qualify for Stage 1 (WAT-PI round). Please note, these percentages are good enough to only qualify for Stage 1 of the selection procedure, but not get the final admission. The final admission is granted based on how students perform in PI and WAT too.

IIM Kashipur Admission 2019 – MBA (WX)
Tailored specifically for the middle and senior level working professionals, the MBA (WX) programme of IIM Kashipur is a highly intensive two-year postgraduate programme in Management. It’s a special programme that exposes the students to various scientific approaches towards business decision making in the new age global business environment, which is both highly competitive and dynamic. The course provides just the right kind of opportunity to the middle and senior level executives to not just refresh their managerial skills, but upgrade them significantly without any interruptions in their professional life. It’s a rigorous full classroom-based programme conducted over the weekends. The participants come from all kinds of professional backgrounds and work individually and jointly on real-life projects. All through the MBA programme, the students actively put the concepts learnt in the classroom to actual use in their workplaces.
Eligibility
- A duly recognised bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks for general category, 45% for DAP/SC/ST and 47% for NCOBC
- At least 3 years’ postgraduation experience in professional, entrepreneurial or managerial capacity
Selection
IIM Kashipur seeks candidates from varied backgrounds. Selection is based on marks obtained in CAT or GMAT exam (of last 2 years) or the Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) conducted by the Institute. The EMAT exam is scheduled for April 7, 2019 this time.
Thereafter the shortlisted candidates will appear for a personal interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on EMAT/GMAT/CAT score, work experience, personal interview and academic performance.

The application form for IIM Kashipur MBA (WX) programme can be downloaded from http://www.iimkashipur.ac.in/. The last date to apply is April 4, 2019. It must be submitted by hand or courier/speed post to IIM Kashipur Dehradun, along with proof of work experience, proof of graduation and demand draft/payment receipt. The application fee is ₹ 2000.
