Established in 1984, Indian Institute of Management Lucknow is the fourth IIM in India. In the last three and a half decades IIML has emerged as a pioneer in the field of management education. In 2005, IIML became the first IIM to open its satellite campus in Noida exclusively for Executive Education. 

With the CAT 2018 exam just 2 months away, let us take you through the IIML admission procedure for the 2019-21 academic session. The various programmes offered at IIML are:

  1. Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP)
  2. Post Graduate Programme in Agribusiness Management (PGP- ABM)
  3. Post Graduate Programme in Sustainable Management (PGP-SM)
  4. Working Managers Programme(WPM)
  5. International Programme in Management for Executives(IPMX)
  6. Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)
  7. Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM)

1.PGP & PGP-SM

a) Eligibility

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or those in final year bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification examination.
  2. Minimum Marks – GEN/NC-OBC (50% or more) SC/ST/PwD (45% or more).
  3. A minimum work experience of 24 months is required to apply for PGP-SM only.
  4. Those applying for PGP-SM need to submit a Statement of Purpose as well.

b) Result Accepted

CAT 2018 exam score will be accepted. The minimum cutoff percentile will be:

c) Process

  1. CAT 2018: Write CAT 2018 Exam
  2. WAT-PI Round:
    1. Candidates will get shortlisted for WAT-PI rounds based clearing CAT 2018 cutoff and the Composite Score (CS) calculated on the basis of:
      1. Scaled CAT Score(CS)
      2. Academic Score: Class 12th Marks and Graduation Marks
      3. Work Experience: The total experience is considered as on July 31st 2018.
      4. Diversity Factor: Academic and Gender.
    2. The WAT and PI are conducted at Bangalore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi and Hyderabad.
  3. Final Selection: The final selection is done on the basis of the Composite Score, WAT and PI round scores.

2. PGP- ABM

a) Eligibility

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Science/ Agricultural Engineering or allied subjects or a Bachelor’s degree in any other field or those in final year bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification examination.
  2. Minimum Marks – GEN/NC-OBC (50% or more) SC/ST/PwD (45% or more).
  3. Those applying with Bachelor degree in any non-agricultural stream need to submit a Special-Form at the time of interview.
  4. There is no work experience required to apply for this programme.

b) Result Accepted

CAT 2018 exam score will be accepted. The minimum cutoff percentile will be:

  3. Work Experience – Minimum 3 years full time work experience as on 28th Feb 2018

c) Process

  1. Application Form – Submit application form with anyone of the above test scores.

  2. Work Experience – Submit Managerial and/or Professional Experience Certificate.

  3. Personal Interview – Appear for a personal interview with all the necessary documents.

4. IPMX

a) Eligibility

  1. Bachelor’s Degree
  2. Minimum Marks – 50% or equivalent CGPA
  3. Work Experience – 5 years managerial experience as on 31st March 2019.

b) Result Accepted

GMAT Score

    1. 1st Phase: 16th November 2013 till 15th November 2018
    2. 2nd Phase: 26th January 2014 till 25th January 2019

c) Process

  1. Application Form: Submit the application form with all relevant documents and GMAT score.
  2. Letters of Recommendation: Send two letters of recommendations in a sealed envelope along with application form.
  3. WAT & PI: Candidates are shortlisted based on their GMAT scores.
  4. Final Selection: The final offer is a combined score of all the above components. The weightage is as given below-
