IIM Trichy was established under the eleventh Five-Year plan by Government of India in 2011. It provides the flagship two-year full-time PGPM program along with the doctoral program FPM and executive program PGPBM (from the Chennai campus).

IIM Trichy Fees: PGPM 2019-21
- The overall fee for IIM Trichy’s PGPM course for Indian students is around 14 Lakhs.
- The two-year fee for overseas candidates is USD 32000.
- The fee covers the following expenses:

- All fees (Indian & Overseas) must be paid in the Indian Rupee.

IIM Trichy Fees: FPM
- The FPM students at IIM Trichy receive handsome financial support during the program, and a full tuition fee and hostel expenses waive, which helps the cover the following costs:
- Personal expenses
- Regular research-related expenses
- Requirements of hardware and software to facilitate research work
- Travel expenses – Field-work, conferences, training and workshops
- The various grants offered to fellow students are:
- Start-up Grant: Up to INR 50000
- Conference Grant: Up to INR 200000 per student
- Contingency Grant: INR 30000 per year
- Field-work Grant: Maximum limit of INR 50000
IIM Trichy Fees: PGPBM
- The total fee for the PGPBM programme comprises of two parts:
- Non-refundable Course Fee – INR 1180000 (plus applicable taxes)
- Refundable Caution Deposit – INR 10000
