ATHARVA, the Annual B-School Fest of TAPMI attracts the finest talent from business schools and sharp brains from corporate world to be a part of the plethora of events it has to offer. ATHARVA 2012-13 has ‘SURVIVE. REVIVE. CONQUER’ as its theme. Held on the scenic Kaup beach in Udupi, ATHARVA’s flagship event Quiz on the Beach (QOTB), hosted by Mr. Giri (Pick Brain) Balasubramaniam of TATA Crucible fame, is celebrating 10 years of unique quizzing.
This year, Team Atharva has taken the initiative to conduct a Marathon to promote the social cause “Supporting Education for the Underprivileged”. Atharva has associated with an NGO “Make A Difference” to support the cause. ‘Make A Difference’ is a youth volunteer network focusing on orphans and underprivileged children in India to educate them and ensure that they are trained to take up various professional careers.
The Marathon will start from Kamath Circle, MIT and touch across various points around Manipal including MJC Grounds, Madhav Kripa, China Valley, Valley view etc and then routes back to the starting point. T I cycles is the official social event sponsor along with Syndicate Bank, Allahabad bank and Corporation Bank. Each ticket will be sold at a price of Rs.50/- and the money collected will be donated to “Make A Difference”.
