Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) is a national entrance examination which is conducted by Symbiosis International which is a Deemed University. The SNAP 2020 notification has been announced, due to COVID-19, major changes in exam pattern have been introduced this year. 

  1. SNAP test will be conducted over three days.
  2. Candidates can appear up to two times for SNAP 2020 exam.
  3. The exam duration will be only one hour.
  4. There will be no special questions (TITA/Non-MCQs).
  5. The total questions have reduced from 110 to 60.

There have been some major changes done in the SNAP 2020 exam pattern and marking scheme this year. The total number of questions has reduced from 110 to 60. And the maximum marks are out of 60. The table below describes the marking scheme in detail:

SNAP Exam Pattern 2020: Marking Scheme

This year, the marking scheme has changed for SNAP 2020 exam. 25% negative marking will be there for all questions. The Normal Questions will carry 1 mark for each correct answer. Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks for all the Questions. The SNAP 2020 marking scheme details are:

SNAP Exam Pattern 2020: Things to Keep in Mind

Please keep the following things in mind:

  1. Reporting time is 9:00 AM the exam day.
  2. The following will be verfired before you start the SNAP 2020 exam - admit card, id proof verification, digital fingerprint scan, and biometrics. 
  3. NO candidates will be allowed to appear after 11.10 AM.
  4. NO candidate can leave the hall before 12 Noon.
  5. NO extra time will be given.
  6. NO gadgets are allowed.
  7. The candidates can attempt the sections in any order they want.
  8. Candidates found using any unfair means will forfeit their chance of being considered for admission and will be debarred from receiving SNAP 2020  scores

The scores published by the Symbiosis Test Secretariat are final and are not subject to any appeal or revaluation.

SNAP Exam Pattern 2020: Eligibility

  1. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of:

    1. 50% for General Category

    2. 45% for SC/ST Category

  2. Final year students can also apply.

  3. Candidates qualifying from foreign universities need to submit an equivalent certificate issued by AIU (Association of Indian Universities) to prove their eligibility.

  1. Candidates should analyse and observe the syllabus, before starting their preparations.

  2. Candidates should figure out their weaker area and focus on it more.

  3. Taking mocks and previous year questions to check the performance.

Ans. SNAP is one of the national entrance examinations conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University. Yes, it is a difficult exam but as compared with CAT it is quite easy.

Ans. No, the GK section has been removed during SNAP 2019 Exam. Now there are only 3 sections and they are:
