SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude) EXAM

SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude) is an entrance exam conducted by the Symbiosis International which is a Deemed University. It is considered to be an obligatory and a binding entrance examination for the admission in Symbiosis International University (SIU) Pune to all the fifteen Symbiosis Institutes affiliated to it. This exam will be conducted over 80 cities in all over India. The fifteen colleges are:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The basic eligibility criteria to get qualified to write the SNAP exam are as follows:

The aspirants who are from the general category must have at least 50% of marks as an aggregate in their bachelor’s degree program if they have completed their Bachelor’s Degree.

The aspirants who are from the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes are provided with a reduction of 5% marks when considering to the general category.

Thus, the qualifying marks are 45% in their bachelor’s degree program if they have completed their Bachelor's Degree.

In the case of the International applicants, they must have completed a degree that is equivalent to a degree in India. They must also submit an equivalent certificate from the AIU (Association of Indian Universities). Reservation Policy

Following will be the reservation policy for admission to any programme of Institutes of SIU (except Symbiosis Institutes of Management Studies, which has separate policy #)

RESERVATION POLICY CATEGORY:

The Symbiosis International which is a Deemed University allows intake of students upon the reservation category of the following:

  1. 15%: For aspirants of Scheduled Caste
  2. 7.5%: For aspirants of Scheduled Tribes
  3. 3%: For aspirants who are Differently Abled

REGISTRATION:

The aspiring candidates must register to pay the SNAP test fee of Rs.2250 through any one of the following ways:

  1. Billdesk Payment Gateway
  2. Easebuzz Payment Gateway
  3. Indian Bank Payment Gateway
  4. Demand Draft.

EXAM STRUCTURE:

The exam is of the nature of an online objective test with a duration of 60 minutes. Each and every question has four options out of which only one is the correct answer. The aspiring candidate writing the exam has to choose one of the four. The normal question, each question will carry 1 mark each and for 2 marks each for a special question

Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks for Normal Questions and for Special Questions also.

In General English, the important topics are Antonyms and Synonyms, Sentence Completion, Sentence Re-arrangement (Para-Jumbles), Fill in the blanks (Grammar and Vocabulary based), Spelling Based Questions, Critical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Parts of Speech, Idioms, and Phrases, Odd Word Out, Punctuation, Error Spotting.

In Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency and Analytical & Logical Reasoning, the important topics are Time and Work, Percentages, Ratios, Averages, Number System, Bar Graphs, Line Graphs, Tables, Problems on Ages, Set theory, Probability, Pipes and Cisterns, Co-ordinate Geometry, Trigonometry, Number Series Permutation and Combination, Linear Equations (Usage), Quadratic Equations, Geometry, Mixtures and Allegations, HCF LCM, Time, Speed and Distance, Venn diagram, Profit and Loss, Logarithms, Functions, Clocks, Simple and Compound Interest, Data Sufficiency, Pie Charts.
