Techies facing visa issues must reboot themselves & opt for MBA

Without a doubt, IT industry will be facing more trouble with Visa issues besides automation of technology services.

UK & Singapore have followed the US and have put strict restrictions for the immigration of engineers who had been earlier posted in these countries and in all likelihood of this, a lot of companies are likely to curb foreign postings.

It is pertinent to know that US & UK are a very important destination for IT companies as 65% of revenue comes from these countries.

Singapore Visa issue would positively hurt IT companies and NASSCOM preempted these issues earlier also but unfortunately the results are being realized now and in present fiscal year just 14% of Visas are applied.

Engineers need to reboot themselves qualification wise and skill wise and might opt for MBA with which they will be able to serve in their own country and possibly get immense opportunities over here.

Since India’s economic growth would continue @ 7.5% and hopefully programs like Make in India, Skill India would give an added edge to engineers.

Engineers do find it easy to crack CAT (Common Admission Test) being conducted for entry in IIMs as the major section of Quant can be cleared by engineers easily.

Once CAT is cleared with high percentile there is still a tradition of getting engineers selected in most of the top MBA institutes.

India is positively the destination for those who might look as a better opportunity than foreign postings.

With the above, not only you get a chance to serve your country but make a better career and maintain a one of the best life and work balance.
