I am not afraid of failure

I strongly believe that failures are stepping stones to success – failures help individuals to understand where they have gone wrong and they also prevent individuals from repeating their mistakes in future.

No human being is perfect – we all have our strengths and weaknesses and at times, we may not be successful in some of the tasks we undertake. However, that does not mean that we are incapable or a failure in life.

World renowned businessmen such as Bill Gates and Narayana Murthy were not successful in their first attempt at setting up their respective businesses. However, they did not give up when they failed; they learnt from their mistakes and worked hard to make their dreams a reality. Likewise, I intend to learn from my mistakes along the way and become a successful entrepreneur in the years to come.

I am not afraid of failure; in fact, I believe that one has to take risks in life to gain success. At a young age, I eradicated the fear of failure from my system because I realized that this fear impedes growth and prevents one from taking up challenges in life.

Stokely Carmichael, a Trinidadian-American black activist, once said, “The secret of life is to have no fear; it is the only way to function”. I strongly believe in this statement, which is why I have never shied away from challenges in life.

Be it in school, internships or at work, I have always embraced challenges and I have never let the thought of failure control me. This is the reason why I have managed to grow as an individual and a team player at the workplace.

Failures should not be seen as obstacles; they should be seen as stepping stones to success. Only when we fail will we understand our mistakes and try not to repeat them in future.

We should never be afraid of failure because failure helps us to grow as individuals and makes us stronger. I am not afraid of failure and it is this lack of fear that has helped me to achieve my goals in life thus far.
