Read WAT topic:  My boss is not good

There is no employee in the world who is completely happy with his/her employer, and I am not an exception. At times, I feel that my boss is irrational and unreasonable.

The role of a manager is to oversee things and ensure that his subordinates are completing work on time. However, this does not mean that an employer should breathe down an employee’s neck or micromanage things. I get annoyed with my boss because instead of helping me, he criticizes my work
When I request him to help me or provide suggestions, he raises his voice at me, claiming that I am incompetent. I believe that a boss is also a mentor, who should guide his subordinates and enhance their productivity so that the organization as a whole can grow. Sadly, my boss is only concerned about his welfare and not of his subordinates or the organization.

My boss is intelligent and hard working but he does not have leadership skills. In the last three years, he has never spoken to me in an encouraging manner. So, at times, I do not feel motivated to work.

John Maxwell, an author, a speaker and a pastor, once said, "A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way". I believe that my boss has a lot to learn from effective business leaders around the world.

However, I also understand that my destiny lies in my hands. So, instead of finding fault with the leadership skills of my boss, I try to do my best at work and hope that my hard work gets recognized by the higher management one day.

There are many incompetent people around us but we should not get affected by them. Instead, we should focus on our goals and work hard to achieve them.
