TAPMI welcomes batch of 2018-20, Two new scholarship programs announced

T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) kicked off the new academic year, welcoming the 36th batch of PGDM, 5th batch of PGDM -  Banking & Financial Services (BKFS) and the 1st batch of PGDM – Human Resources (HR) students for the induction program.

 

In his welcome address, TAPMI’s Director Dr. Madhu Veeraraghavan said, “Our aim is to create thought leaders, inspire innovators and produce dynamic leaders.”

 

The Chief Guest and TAPMI alumna, Ms. Madhu Bisht, Head - Human Resources, Nokia Solutions and Network, Nokia Solutions and Network, recounted a few of her interesting experiences at TAPMI that transformed her into who she is now. She also asked students to make time for self-learning as it will play a significant role going forward.

 

Ms. Kajal Kiran Panigrahy, guest of honor and also a TAPMI alumna elaborated on the theme “Opportunity favours the prepared minds”. She also highlighted the importance of developing an ethical value system and the right attitude.

 

TAPMI Admissions Chair, Prof. Aditya Jadhav, highlighted the profile of the batch of 2018-2020. The 485-strong batch with an average CAT score at 87.16 percentile has students from diverse educational backgrounds with representation from 24 states.

 

The institute announced two new scholarship programmes which will be effective from 1st July 2018. The two scholarship programmes based on Merit and Merit-cum-Means will offer scholarships worth Rs.2 crore over the two-year PGDM period.

 

The program included an interactive session with the parents where the Director of TAPMI and faculty members networked with the families of students detailing the program, campus facilities etc. The new batch will undergo a week-long induction, which includes programs like Art of Living, Professional Courtesies and & Socializing Etiquettes and Yoga training.
