Most of the MBA aspirants get jittery on negative marking in almost all MBA entrance examinations viz.; CAT / IIFT / XAT etc. The moot point is that negative marking definitely aggravates fear psychosis of the examination hence, it is very important to understand the nature of the exam and clear the fundamentals of the sections of each exam.
Indeed MBA aspirants must manage this fear psychosis of the negative marking hence, for the benefit of the aspirants Research Team MBA rendezvous conducted the poll with a question put up to 105 respondents that while having the negative marking in MBA entrance exams, What do you observe and feel ?
Out of 105 respondents following results emerged
A) Competitive (38.10%)
B) Transparent (12.38%)
C) Tougher (25.71%)
D) Valuable (19.05%)
E) Phenomenal (4.76%)
To analyse further on the above poll it is very clear that 4.76% feel that negative marking is just a phenomenal and we may not bother for negative marking.
19.05% feel that negative marking also add value to the exam.
12.38% felt that the negative marking compels transparency in the examinations and nobody will be able to take any chance on the answers.
25.71% very strongly felt that besides negative marking getting transparent, valuable and phenomenal the exams becomes very tough.
Whopping 38.10% felt that with the negative marking the MBA entrance examinations become very competitive.
Notwithstanding above MBA aspirants who will be taking entrance examinations which are lined up right from October 2015 to March 2016 will have to take cognizance of the negative marking.

CAT
CAT 2015 is being conducted on 29th Nov. 2015 with the change exam pattern along with 3 sections viz; QA, DILR & VRC.
XAT
XAT or Xavier Aptitude Test is the entrance exam organized by Xavier Labor Relation Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur. XAT 2016 will be conducted on January 3, 2016.
IIFT
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) will conduct its written examination on 22nd November 2015 for admission to its MBA-IB (MBA in International Business) programme 2016-18 at IIFT Delhi & Kolkata.
SNAP
SNAP is conducted by Symbiosis International University, Pune for admission to various Post Graduate Programmes for the academic year 2016–18. The SNAP exam will be on 20th December 2015.
MAT
MAT is conducted by AIMA 4 times in a year i.e. in the month of MAY, September, December and February on the 1st Sunday of the Month. Candidates can choose to take either Paper Based Test or Computer Based Test as per their convenience.
CMAT
AICTE has decided to hold only one CMAT Online Test from the Academic Year 2016-17 onwards. CMAT Test is proposed to be held in January 2016.
