This is to inform all the aspirants of full time MBA (International Business) and MBA (Business Analytics) Programmes that for the academic year 2024, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade will accept CAT 2023 Score.
National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted IIFT 2021 exam today i.e. 24.1.2021 in a Computer Based (CBT) mode. As per IIFT paper pattern, the total time duration was from 3-5pm (120 minutes) and there were a total of 110 questions.
The paper had 4 separate sections: General Awareness, Reading Comprehension & Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. There was differential marking across sections, but no sectional time limit. To be shortlisted, an aspirant needed to clear both overall and sectional cut-offs. One-third of the allotted mark was deducted in case of a wrong answer.

The level of the VARC section was easy to moderate. This was the most doable section of the exam. RC - Total of16 Questions from Reading Comprehension. There were 4 passages with 4 questions each. VA - Total of 19 questions were based on verbal ability. |
Quantitative Analysis |
The level of this Quantitative Aptitude section was moderate to difficult. Questions were asked from topics which include - number systems, arithmetic, Mensuration, geometry, trigonometry, modern math, algebra, etc. |
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning |
DILR section was of moderate level. A few questions were very doable. Below is the detailed description DILR section: DI-A total of 16 Questions was based on Data Interpretation. There were 4 sets of D.I. with 4 questions each. Logical Reasoning - A total of 14 questions was asked from Logical Reasoning. |

The level of GK section was of difficult level. Most of the questions were asked from Current Affairs. |
IIFT 2021: Expected Sectional Cutoff
IIFT 2021 Cutoff will be determined on the basis of the overall difficulty level of the entrance test, total number of candidates who appeared for the exam, past year cutoff trends and the total number of seats available. IIFT cutoff 2021 will be different for candidates belonging to various categories. All the candidates who meet the IIFT cutoff, they will be eligible to take part in the second round of the selection process.

IIFT 2021: Exam Highlights
- IIFT 2021 exam timing was changed to 3PM-5PM as against 10AM-12 Noon
- IIFT Entrance exam was a computer based test and not a paper based test
- IIFT 2021 exam had 4 Major Sections instead of 6 earlier.
- Each section had different number of questions
- IIFT exam was conducted by NTA and not by IIFT
- VARC, Quant, DILR had same scoring pattern while GK had different scoring pattern
- 4-5 RC Passages followed by 14-16 questions appeared in the exam. Passages were of difficult.
IIFT 2020: Exam Analysis
The IIFT 2020 paper was quite easy, in comparison to the previous IIFT exams. The easiest section was Reading Comprehension & Verbal Ability. Due to the easy nature of the paper and the change in the marking scheme, the cut-off rose dramatically to 138 (for General category).
