IRMA Social Awareness Test 2021 (IRMASAT 2021) is an online test conducted by Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) every year. IRMASAT is a national level entrance exam conducted annually for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management Programme (PGDRM).

IRMASAT 2021: Syllabus

IRMA 2021 Exam syllabus includes only one section of Social Awareness, however, the questions are asked from several topics of current social concern events. Therefore, it becomes important for candidates to stay updated with latest national and international social events.

As the topic of Social Awareness is vast, there are no specific guidelines for the IRMA exam syllabus. However, it is important to understand the IRMA exam syllabus as the topics covered in this test is different from other traditional MBA entrance tests. Nevertheless, as per the previous years’ question paper; some topics that are generally covered in this section every year are as follows:

IRMASAT 2021: Steps To Apply

  • STEP 1: IRMASAT 2021 registration

To register for IRMASAT 2021, the candidate will be required to create a login ID on the official website of IRMA by furnishing basic personal details like name, date of birth, email ID and phone number.

  • STEP 2: Filling IRMASAT 2021 application form

Once the candidate has successfully created a login ID for IRMASAT 2021, he/she can log in on the IRMA website and fill the online application form. The IRMASAT application process will be complete only after the payment of the application fee.

  • STEP 3: Payment of application fees

The IRMASAT application fee can be paid online through credit card/debit card or net banking. IRMASAT 2021 application fee is Rs 1500 for General category candidates. Candidates belonging to reserved category have a fee concession. 

  • STEP 4: IRMASAT 2021 admit card

IRMASAT 2021 admit cards will be made available for download on the official IRMA website from the scheduled date notified in the admission calendar. The candidates must carry their IRMASAT admit cards to the exam hall and also keep it safe till the end of the admission process.

  • STEP 5: IRMASAT 2021 exam

IRMA test or IRMASAT will take place in online mode at the IRMA campus. The exam consists of 40 questions on various socio-economic topics and the candidates are required to answer all of them within the limit timeframe. Group Activity and Personal Interviews will also be conducted with the IRMASAT exam and the final result will be declared in March.

  • STEP 6: IRMASAT 2021 result

The IRMASAT result will be announced online. The candidates can check their scores on the official website by using their PIDs. After the result is declared, selected candidates will be invited for Personal Interview and Group Discussion.

IRMASAT 2021: Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for domestic candidates:

  • Candidate applying for PGDRM programme must be a graduate in any discipline from a university that is a state or centrally recognised
  • Candidates must have scored at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA. This aggregate is 45% for SC/ ST/ DAP
  • Candidates in their final year of the examination are also eligible for the IRMASAT 2021. They are required to submit proof of qualifying the final year by September 2021, failing which their candidature will be cancelled
  • Candidates must have scored 85 percentile or above in CAT 2020 or XAT 2021. These candidates will be eligible for getting shortlisted for Merit-based Calls
  • Candidates must have scored 80 percentile or above in CAT 2020 or XAT 2021 and should fulfill the Profile-based Call criteria as mentioned above.

Eligibility Criteria for Foreign candidates:

  • The candidate must be a Graduate in any stream with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent from a recognised university
  • They must have appeared in GMAT/GRE (from 2014 onwards) and have a score that meets the minimum cut off criteria set by IRMA
  • Foreign candidates do not have to appear in IRMASAT, but they will be required to participate in Group Activity and Personal Interview round.

IRMASAT 2021: Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates appearing in IRMASAT 2021 must follow the exam day guidelines to avoid any problem while writing the exam. Have a look at the IRMASAT 2021 exam day guidelines below:

  • Reach the examination venue (IRMA campus) at least an hour before IRMASAT 2021 commences.
  • Carry your IRMASAT 2021 admit card and an ID proof Issued by Government of India (original and photocopy).
  • Do not carry electronic gadgets like a digital watch, mobile phone, calculator, Ipad, etc. to the exam venue.
  • Carry Blue/Black ballpoint pen.
