The Anna University has announced the results for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2021 exam. The varsity conducted the postgraduate entrance examination on March 20 and 21, 2021. The candidates who have appeared for the examination can check the results on the official website of the university i.e. tancet.annauniv.edu.

The exam is conducted by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate degree programmes in the state for the academic year 2021-2022.

Step 1: Go to the official website tancet.annauniv.edu

Step 2: Click on the link to check result. A login page will open.

Step 3: Now enter your email id, password. Same as ones used to fill the form, download hall ticket.

Step 4: Your result will appear on screen.

The entrance test for admission to MBA and MCA programmes included 100 multiple choice questions of one mark each. Four options were provided for all the questions. For every correct answer marked, candidates will score 1 mark and for wrong answers, one-third marks will be deducted.

The qualifying candidates will now be able to participate in the counselling process and gain admission in the University. The admissions will be based on TANCET percentile scores.

TANCET 2021 counselling for admission to the MBA programmes is expected to be conducted from May onwards. On the basis of the rank in TANCET 2021 exam, candidates will be called for counselling. To appear for the counselling, candidates need to first register online. Post-registration, candidates will be issued a call letter for appearing in the counselling. Candidates need to carry the call letter along with other documents while appearing for counselling. During counselling, candidates will be asked to choose colleges along with their appropriate branches from the list of affiliated colleges.

• The result for TANCET 2021 is announced by Anna University and will only be released online on their official website.
• Please check all personal details printed on your TANCET Rank Card 2021.
• Please keep extra copies of the TANCET 2021 scorecard for counselling purpose.
• TANCET releases the official answer key after the TANCET exam before announcing the TANCET result.
• Candidates can download the Answer Key by logging in with their email ID and password.
• If the TANCET 2021 mark sheet is lost, a duplicate mark sheet can be obtained. Candidates can pay INR 100 in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Secretary (TANCET), Anna University” payable at Chennai. It should be sent to - The Secretary (TANCET), Anna University, Chennai – 600 025.

The category-wise expected cut off range for admission to the MBA programme offered by the various TANCET participating colleges are given below.

TANCET is the state level entrance exam conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Education Board and Anna University as an entrance exam for admission into MBA, MCA, ME, M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Plan courses in different colleges across the state. It's a yearly exam, that is held by Anna University in multiple locations. In 2021, the exam was held on March 20 for MBA and MCA courses.

Then on March 21, the remaining exams for ME, M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Plan were conducted. The exam was conducted in Chennai, Coimbatore, Chidambaram, Dindigul, Erode, Karaikudi, Madurai, Nagercoil, Salem, Thanjavur, Tirunelveli, Tiruchirappalli, Vellore, Villupuram, and Virudhunagar cities.
