XAT 2021 Exam Analysis

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2021 was conducted on January 3, 2021 by XLRI for admissions into MBA and PGDM programmes over various B- Schools in India. XAT 2021 result will be published on January 31, 2021 and the candidates can download the XAT score cards from January 31 to March 31, 2021.The XAT score is being used by more than 160 institutes for the admission.

XAT 2021 Exam Analysis: Over all

  • Total questions increased to 100 from 99
  • No Essay Writing test
  • RC passages rated moderate
  • Decision making section remains tricky
  • Quant section is of moderate difficulty
  • Many Candidates could attempt less than 50% questions
  • Test timing changed - 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM from 10A M to 1 PM
  • All questions were of MCQ type
  • GK section not counted for percentile calculation
  • Visually impaired candidates with scribe were given additional 25 minutes only for Part 1 of XAT
  • Marks for every correct answer: 1
  • Negative Marks: -0.25
  • No Negative marking for General Knowledge section in part-2
  • All the MCQ type questions had five options with one correct option
  • XAT 2021 was the 4th computer based test conducted by XLRI in the history of 60 years of conducting XAT
