MICA, India’s premier management institute for Strategic Marketing and Communication, registered 100% placement for the 21st Batch of its flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Communications (PGDM-C).

All 158 students were placed through the institute’s Campus Placements process in which a total of 73 companies participated.

The average salary offered this year was Rs.11.60 lakhs per annum while the highest salary offered was Rs.25.5 lakh. The trend of international placements continued this year too, with two students securing the role of Business Development Manager at the Tolaram Group. Pre Placement Offers also continued to be made from various sectors to the students, on the basis of their performance during their summer internships.

The largest intake was from Advertising, Media and Digital Agencies (15.1%) closely followed by Internet & Technology (12.6%), Retail (9.4%), FMCD (9.4%), Media (8.2%), and E- Commerce & IT/ITES (7.5%). FMCG, BFSI, Metals and Mining, Consulting, and Entertainment companies made their presence felt as did companies from other sectors like Real Estate, Market Research & Analysis and Hospitality. 

Amazon was the largest recruiter, followed by Google, Mahindra Retail, and Cognizant. P&G, Titan, Discovery, Leo Burnett, Star India, Sony Pictures Networks, Wipro, Raymond, HT Media, Madura, Uber were some of the prominent brands that recruited. 

Some new names on campus this year included Isobar, Hitachi, HP, CricHQ, Holiday-IQ, Kidzania, Sony Music, and Tata Global Beverages.

Commenting on the placement results, President, MICA, Mr. Madhukar Kamath said, “It has been yet another good year for MICA. More important than achieving  100% placement, was the impressive list of Companies who came to the MICA Campus for recruitments. A MICAn today is fast becoming an asset across a vast spectrum of Industries and Practices.”
