To Enrich Maruti’s Executives through IMT’s Alternate Weekend Programme
IMT Ghaziabad (IMTG), India’s premier management school with a distinct focus on grooming Leadership through Innovation, Execution and Social Responsibility, recently signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL). The MoU was signed by Director, IMTG, Dr Atish Chattopadhyay and Vice President, MSIL, Mr Mukesh Kumar Gupta in the presence of other senior officials of the IMTG and the MSIL. The MoU entails enriching the working executive of MSIL with IMTG’s newly launched alternate-weekend Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM).
The Executive Education (ExEd) programmes at IMTG focus on grooming high performers as change agents within the organisations – professionals who can drive change through execution of innovation! The PGPM is designed for High Performing working professionals to prepare them for the next elevation within their respective organisations. PGPM essentially serves the needs of companies to retain talent, hone managerial competencies and prepare executives for functional head positions.
The PGPM is delivered in a modular format with classroom and corporate interactions along with high impact workshops focussing on skills needed for tomorrow. While ensuring 50% focus on building Skills and Attitude with courses like Design Thinking and Innovation, PGPM has a co-mentored internal consulting project on a real company problem. The programme also includes a two-week Global Innovation Lab (GIL) at a top partner institute in Europe, which exposes the participants to the global best practices and imparts them with abilities to apply those in the Indian context. Completion of the PGPM leads to the award of an AICTE approved, and AACSB accredited Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Part Time (PGDM-PT).
Talking about the MoU, Director, IMTG, Dr Atish Chattopadhyay candidly says, “As Maruti has been the market leader, it fathoms the importance of learning and incorporating the latest developments in the world of Management with experts from academia and industry across the globe. For us at IMTG, the programmes are evolved in a way that they remain relevant and contextual to emerging practices. The tenure of our partnership speaks for the confidence that IMTG and MSIL have shown in each other. I believe that leading institutes must come up with such partnerships with corporates to give them the impetus required for contributing to the India growth story.”
