MICA, Ahmedabad, India’s premier institute for Strategic Marketing and Communications, recorded 100% placement for the 25th batch of its flagship PGDM- Communications programme, with the highest pay package at Rs 58.2 lakh (CTC) per annum.

The institute also witnessed an increase of Rs 8 lakhs in its domestic package making Rs

32.8 lakh as highest domestic package. While the average CTC went up from 12.8 lakhs to 13.9 lakhs per annum.

A total of 88 companies partnered with MICA and recruited 179 students sitting for the campus placements process. Of the 179 students, 47% were girls and 53% were boys.

Interestingly. In terms of work experience, 58 students were fresher, 40 students had up to 7-12 months of experience, 31 students had close to two years of experience, 16 students had six months of work experience, 10 students had 37-48 months of experience and 21 students had 25-36 months of experience.

3 out of every 10 students got a Pre-Placement/Pre-Placement Interview Offer.

FMCG saw a 67% increase in recruitments over last year, with top Companies like Britannia, Colgate-Palmolive, ITC, HUL, Pidilite, MTR Foods marking their presence, besides regular/past recruiters Amul, Adani Wilmar, Beiersdorf (Nivea),’LÓreal, Puma, etc.  Motorcycle leaders like, JAWA, Royal Enfield and Hero MotoCorp, all recruited MICAns. In Media too, top TV channels such as Sony, Star, Zee were all present, besides print leaders Dainik Jagran Group, DB Corp and HT Media.  Digital, though, led the way, with the highest number of offers being made in the E-commerce/IT/ITeS sector (37 offers) followed by Advertising (28 offers), Fast Moving Consumer Durables (FMCD) (27 offers), Analytics, BFSI and Consulting (26 offers), Media (24 offers), FMCG (20 offers) and other sectors (17 offers).

Our average CTC has gone up and is testimony to our students who bring in innovative and creative solutions with emphasis on critical thinking, cultural and human quotients proving their mettle in organizations. It is indeed gratifying to see the continued trust we receive from our industry partners."

Students were offered roles in the areas of sales & marketing and brand manager, digital marketing strategist, product marketer, analytics specialist, analytical lead, media analyst, strategic partnership manager, advertising and brand specialist, besides Management Trainee.

Other recruiters included the Aditya Birla Group, Amazon, Cadila Pharma, Cars 24, Casio, Citibank, Deloitte Consulting, E&Y, Google, IBM, ICICI Bank, Intel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Lenskart, Malabar Diamonds, Nielsen, Symphony, Tata Steel and Usha International, amongst others.
