MICA, Ahmedabad, India’s premier Business Management institute focusing on Strategic Marketing and Communication, will be hosting the 7th AIM-AMA Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium. The Consortium will have 60 professors and scholars from 9 countries. 54 academic papers will be presented in 3 parallel tracks. With the Conference on the last day, it will be a unique congregation of academia and industry in the area of marketing.
The consortium will take place from January 4th to January 6th, 2019, followed by a one day conference on January 7th, 2019. The consortium will provide an opportunity for doctoral students to present their research papers and receive guidance from eminent scholars in their field, along with the distinguished professors’ lectures on mapping and the trajectory of the discipline of marketing.
The AIM-AMA Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium is hosted by different member institutes in India and abroad. This is an exclusive (by invitation only) consortium that features distinctive research areas, innovative research methodologies and emerging theories from the marketing area. The doctoral fellows are exposed to unique processes of research, enabling them to further their work on innovative ideas and helping them expand their horizons beyond the paradigms of existing marketing literature.
This year, the doctoral consortium has a contemporary and relevant theme of 'Marketing Communication in the Digital Era'. Young scholars, participating in the consortium, are expected to present their work related to the mentioned theme for a better understanding of the transforming practices, using digital tools and internet that effectively contextualise transformations. This consortium is also designed to help doctoral students make an effective transition from students to their first faculty position through the comprehensive insights being shared at the Consortium by distinguished faculty, who have made significant contribution to the marketing field in of research, teaching and academic service.
The doctoral meet is being jointly organised by Dr. Shailendra Raj Mehta, President & Director MICA, Dr. Jagdish Sheth, Founder& Chairman of AIM, Emory University USA, Dr. V. Kumar, co-founder of AIM from Georgia State University, USA and Mr. Russ Klein, CEO, American Marketing Association.
