Established in 2010, IIM Raipur is one of the new additions to the reputed IIM brand. It offers students the perks that come with studying in an IIM, namely quality infrastructure, superior faculty and good placements. The more established IIMs such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bengaluru, IIM Kolkata and others provide all these facilities synonymous with the IIM brand but at a considerable cost to the students. IIM Raipur, on the other hand, charges considerably less for its courses, thereby making it accessible, especially for students who cannot afford the more established IIMs.

- Fellow Programme in Management
At IIM Raipur, full time Research Scholars are provided financial assistance. Their Tuition Fee, Library Fee, Computer Fee and Hostel Fee are waived off. They are also offered scholarships to the extent of Rs 30,000 per month in the 1st and 2nd year and Rs 35,000 per month in the 3rd and 4th year. In addition to this, these scholars also get Rs 40,000 per year as Contingency Grant, Rs 50,000 one time grant to purchase laptop/PC, and upto Rs 1,50,000 during the course of the Programme to attend national and international conferences.
Comparison with other institutes
The fees charged by IIM Raipur is reasonable, especially when the fees charged by other IIMs is considered. IIM Ahmedabad charges close to Rs 28 lakhs for its two year Post Graduate Programme in Management. IIM Bengaluru charges around 23.50 lakhs and IIM Kolkata charges around 23 lakhs for the same course. Private institutes such as MDI Gurugram (around 25 lakhs), SIBM, Pune (around 20 lakhs) and XLRI Jamshedpur (around 17.95 lakhs) are more expensive than IIM Indore.
Clearly, IIM Raipur fee structure makes it an attractive and accessible option for deserving students.
