MAH CET Exam 2019, Maharashtra Common Entrance Test
MBA aspirants who wish to appear in MH – CET must note the following:
  •  The Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State has recently declared admission process for admission to MBA/MMS courses in Maharashtra State for academic year 2020-22

  •  Admission process will be based on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), online test scheduled on 14th& 15th March 2020

  • There are total 406 institutes, departments, collages in Maharashtra under 11 Universities which have total intake capacity of 45621 seats as per DTE record

  • The seats distribution is as follows

As per Supreme Court verdict the apex body of Management programmes in the country id now with University Grants Commission (UGC), until last year it was under the purview of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The above intake was for 2013-14 but the process of starting new MBA Institute, increase or reduction in existing intake for academic year 2014-15 is under consideration of UGC and the policy decision is pending as on date.
There are enough number of seats available in the state, out of total seats almost 50% are Under Pune University (covering Pune, Ahmednagar and Nashik District) followed by collages under Mumbai University
 
The distribution of Seats are categorized as under
  • Maharashtra State level Seats : there are two sub categories as Home University and other than Home University

  • Maharashtra State Seats: Each Maharashtra State candidate who has appeared in the MAHMBA/MMSâ€ÂCET 2020 conducted by Competent Authority of Maharashtra State will be assigned a State level Merit Number on the basis of percentile obtained in MAHâ€ÂMBA/MMS CET 2020

  •   All India Seats: Each All India candidate who has appeared in CAT 2019 (conducted by IIMs)/CMAT 2020 (Conducted by NTA) / GMAT (conducted by GMAC, USA)/ MAT (conducted by AIMA in February 2020)/ XAT (conducted by XLRI)/ ATMA (conducted by AIMS)/ MAHâ€ÂMBA/MMSâ€ÂCET 2020 will be assigned a State level merit number on the basis of percentile mentioned on the score card

Centralized Admission Process (CAP): For the academic year 2020-22, the Competent Authority shall conduct total four (4) rounds of Centralized Admission. The CAP shall consist of first three (3) rounds by Centralized Allotment wherein eligible candidates will fill separate Online Option forms for respective rounds. Fourth round of CAP shall be conducted by way of counseling only for the eligible Maharashtra State candidates
 
Stages of Centralized Admission Process (CAP) are as follows
  1. Go to http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in

  2. Click on “Apply Online” & Fill up and submit the personal details, qualification details, latest photo and options for CET Centers

  3.  Verify the correctness of the information filled In case of any correction, the candidate can do it online before confirmation

  4. Confirm Application by paying applicable fees by echallon or by e payment
 
-  Online application form processing fees is :  Rs. 1000/ for General Category Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State and J&K Migrant candidates and  Rs. 800/ for Reserved Category & Physically Handicapped Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only. Payment of fees for Online application form may be done by the following two modes
  •  e Challon will get generated online at the time of registering for CETto be submitted in any branch of Axis Bank Ltd in India

  •   e payment of the application processing fees, through net banking/Credit Cards/Debit Cards
-  The online registration process has started from 10th January 2020 and will remain open upto 15th February 2020 upto 5 pm
 
-   All India candidates who have appeared for CAT 2019 (conducted by IIMs)/CMAT 2020 (Conducted by  NTA)/ GMAT (conducted by GMAC, USA)/ MAT (conducted by AIMA in February 2020)/ XAT (conducted by XLRI)/ ATMA (conducted by AIMS) are also required to apply online
 
-  Alternatively candidates can take help of Nearest ARC centers against payment of Rs. 50 in cash. (list of ARC centers are given in the Information bulletin available on DTE web portal)
 
-  Eligibility : - The candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria: Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* or equivalent CGPA ( 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons With Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelor’s degree awarded by any of the Universities minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India or Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s degree to be awarded by any of the Universities above
 
-  All students who have completed graduation or are in a final year of graduation must register for the MAH MBA/MMS CET 2020. Students who are willing to join MBA programme must register online for the entrance test. If students who have not yet decided to join MBA programme should also register for CET and be prepared for their future career.
