Selection Process
Indian Candidates
- Write CAT 2018 Exam and apply for the course
- Candidates must clear the Composite Score (Class X & XII, CAT 2018 Overall, Gender Diversity Factor)
- Shortlisted candidates appear for WAT and PI in January 2019
- Final selection is based on the Final Composite Score which is calculated using:
- Class X Score – 10%
- Class XII Score – 10%
- CAT 2018 Overall Score – 20%
- WAT Score – 20%
- PI Score – 40%
- Reservations as per Government of India norms
International Candidates
- The application should contain the following documents-
Completed Application Form, Self-Attested copy of the latest GMAT scores and latest TOEFL score (Only if the medium of instruction has not been English), Three letters of recommendation from a competent authority (Teacher/Employer), Statement of Purpose, Self-Attested photocopy of Passport, non-refundable application-processing fee of US $100 (in favor of Indian Institute of Management Indore and payable at Indore)
- Those shortlisted for PI will be sent individual letters by February 2019 and called for PI at Delhi and Mumbai only.
- The final selection will be done on the basis of Final Composite Score (FCS):
- GMAT Score – 30%
- PI Score – 70%
- There are a total 10 seats for foreign national students.

- Stage 1: Candidates must clear the CAT 2018 cutoff as mentioned above in CAT 2018 Sectional and Overall Percentile Cut-offs table.
- Stage 2: Those who clear the CAT 2018 cutoff are shortlisted for WAT and PI process based on the Composite Score (CS)

2.4 Gender Diversity Score – Female (4) & Male (0)
2.5 Academic Diversity Score (ADF)*– 4
* Candidates who have done their Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree with any of the following disciplines Arts, Business Organisation, Economic Development and Planning, Economics, History, Humanities, Languages, LAW, Literature, Management (Business Administration/Business Management/Business Studies/Management Studies), Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Social work/Welfare, Sociology, will only be considered for the Academic Diversity Factor (ADF)
- Final Selection: The final merit score is calculated based on requirements of stage 2 and Final Composite Score
