SNAP Exam 2022: What Has Not Changed?

Change is the only constant and the SNAP exam authorities have stuck to this principle for the last two years now. With the release of SNAP 2022 exam notification, major changes were introduced in the exam pattern. For example, the GK section was removed, the special questions were limited to Quant section only and the total number of questions in each section and overall changed. While change in the exam pattern affects your exam preparation and writing strategy, it is also important to keep in mind the things that have not changed.

Note: SNAP 2022 exam will be held on 10 December 2022 (Saturday). The registration window for SNAP 2022 is open from 04th August 2022 (Thursday) till November 24,2024 (Thursday)

Let us take a look at all the aspects that HAVE NOT CHANGED in the SNAP 2022 exam:

  1. SNAP 2019 Exam Duration: Despite the no. of questions have reduced from 130 in 2018 to 110 in 2019, the time total exam time duration is still 2 hours.
  2. SNAP 2019 Exam Questions: Like 2018, the SNAP 2019 paper is a mix of normal or MCQs and special or non-MCQs or TITA questions. There are 105 MCQs and 5 non-MCQs.
  3. SNAP 2019 Maximum Marks: With all the changes in the SNAP 2019 exam pattern and marking scheme, the maximum marks is still 150 marks.
  4. SNAP 2019 Negative Marking: The marks per correct answer has changed for special and normal questions. However, every incorrect answer still attracts 25% negative marks.

  1. SNAP 2019 Exam Sections: Except the GK section all the other three sections – General English, Analytical & Logical Reasoning and Quantitative, DI & DS – are part of the SNAP 2019 exam pattern.
  2. SNAP 2019 Exam Time: Like every year, the SNAP 2019 exam will be held in the afternoon between 2 pm to 4 pm. Students must keep giving mocks during the afternoon hours so that they are used to staying active and alert during that time frame.
  3. SNAP 2019 Exam Day: Like every year, SNAP 2019 exam will be held on a Sunday.
  4. SNAP 2019 Exam Mode: SNAP 2019 is an online computer-based exam like the previous years.
  5. SNAP 2019 Exam Eligibility: There has been no change in the SNAP exam eligibility rules from the previous years. Students still must be Graduate with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in any discipline. Also programmes which require specific discipline / subject specialisation need to be checked for eligibility as given by the respective Institute. Click here for more details
  6. SNAP 2019 Exam Fee: There is no change in the SNAP 2019 exam fee. It is INR 1750 like previous year.
