Develop points for discussion and read WAT topic:" I am Honest"

I agree with Zig Ziglar, an American author and a motivational speaker, who said that, “The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love, and loyalty”. I strongly believe that to lead a successful life, you need to be honest with yourself and people around you.

I am honest about my goals concerning my academics, career, family and relationships, and keep track of them on a regular basis to ensure that I am proceeding in the right direction.

Honesty and trust go hand and hand and I believe that if you are honest, the probability of people having trust and faith in you is higher. In school, I have never cheated in examinations or competitions, and this has helped me to earn the trust of my parents, teachers, and friends.

Since young, my parents have taught me the importance of honesty and integrity and they have narrated stories where truth and goodness have always triumphed over falsehood and deception.

So far in my life, I have not done anything that I am ashamed of – my conscience is clear and I am proud of my achievements because they are a result of my hard work.

Chilon of Sparta, a philosopher, once said, “Prefer a loss to a dishonest gain; the one brings pain at the moment, the other for all time”. Once someone loses trust in you, it is difficult to regain that trust, which is why it is important to speak truthfully and lead an honest life.

A successful relationship is built on trust, be it a relationship between an employer and an employee, a teacher and a student or a husband and a wife. Once dishonesty starts seeping into a relationship, the relationship is doomed to fail.

Honesty is a key ingredient for success and I hope that by leading an honest life, I will reap success in both my personal and professional spheres of my life.
